vivian keenan

Vivian Keenan’s introduction to the craft of weaving came in the 1970’s attending night classes in cane basket making.

In 2003 her work changed dramatically she I began using recycled copper as a medium for sculptural weaving. This triggered a period of experimenting with the malleability and strength of the copper.

Working from her Woven Design Studio on Great Barrier Island, Vivian continues to develop commissions and copper sculptural pieces for galleries throughout New Zealand.
