Nina van Duynhoven

Nina was born in Veghei, the Netherlands in 1963. She studied at Teachers College, where her interest in fine arts was awakened, leading her to take a course in Fine Arts.

In 1985 she came to New Zealand for a working holiday and decided to stay and pursue her ambition to be a sculptor.

In her work Nina recreates the essence of human relationships. She also gains inspiration from forms found in nature which is reflected in the organic quality of her work.

Nina’s work is exhibited in galleries in Wellington, Auckland and Napier. Nina’s sculptures and vessels are in private and corporate collections in Australia, UL, The Netherlands, USA, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
