“Most of my ideas come from my natural environment, the flora and fauna I'm interested in. I prefer to use traditional materials of metal, stone and shell. I like to use stone for colour rather than intrinsic value. I cut and shape my own stones and carve shell so often the innate nature of these materials dictates what I make.”
