linda bruce

Linda Bruce works predominantly with clay, often combining this with metal and found objects.

The relationship between people and the land and the desire to connect us with nature is the intent of Linda’s material virtuosity. Ceramic craftsmanship and the appropriation of found objects and re-contextualising them to communicate a new narrative define her practice. In particular is her ability to integrate ceramic form with other materials where the combinations and connecting points are intriguing

Linda has completed a variety of public commissions in Napier and Hastings, both on her own and in collaboration with other Hawke’s Bay artists.
