keryn whitney

Keryn Whitney’s work is generally glass focussed, having trained in the traditional methods of glass blowing, casting and polishing in England.

“Glass is an amazing substance, unequalled in its diverse states. When worked hot – it is to play with fire, when worked cold – it is to play with granite. In my work I aim to master the various states and still install a degree of organic fluidity in the final piece.”

In recent years Keryn has started to move away from working solely with glass and has produced larger scale pieces in other mediums such as timber and steel. The freedom of these other mediums has allowed both her design and construction skills to broaden.
