jay lloyd

Jay Lloyd and his family moved from South Africa to Waiheke Island in 2010 where he established his studio and foundry. He works mostly in bronze and does a variety of work from small pieces of jewellery to larger sculptures.

Jay’s interest in casting metal started at least 20 years ago with lead and tin alloys for the fishing product market and later pewter cutlery. He moved to casting aluminium and built up a manufacturing business making specialised decor and bathroom fittings with a production line of around 350 different products.

He regularly exhibits his work on Waiheke and various galleries throughout New Zealand.
